The interior was delusional like any visual psyche. The couches and plants, rugs and paintings were all in cahoots and up in arms over the cahootery. The explorers were under-qualified and cowardly.
Originally created for Milwaukee International with The Suburban's exquisite corpse video for the No Soul For Sale show at the Tate Modern in May 2010. The piece was then expanded and changed a bit and premiered, in this new form, at the New York Film Festival's Views from the Avant-garde.
Stephanie Barber is a writer and artist who has created a poetic, conceptual and philosophical body of work in a variety of media, often literary/visual hybrids that dissolve boundaries between narrative, essay and dialectic works.
